Anthony Dansby

I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, with a B.A in Criminology/Criminal Justice and a M.Ed in Leadership and Policy Studies. I have been teaching English/Language Arts at James Coble Middle School since the school opened in 2006. My career started in Dallas ISD in 2000, teaching Reading to 7th and 8th grade students. I teach 8th grade Pre-AP and academic ELA. I also coach football, basketball and tennis. I was the 2013-14 Teacher of the Year for James Coble, and represented the school at the MISD Teacher of the Year program.

My passion lies with helping young adults gain the skills needed to become productive members of society. I believe that literature can broaden the minds of our youths, and expose them to cultures and experiences they have never encountered before. Most of all, I enjoy seeing my students EXCEL in academic settings, and SUCCEED in life!!!
